Children

Children’s emotional well-being is vital for their overall development. Healing Head and Heart offers therapeutic play-based counseling in Florida for children aged 5 and up. We use sand trays, expressive arts, CBT, attachment-based trauma-informed practices. Consistent consultation with and incorporation of parents into therapy where appropriate is a priority. As an AutPlay certified provider, our mental health counselor works with children who are neurodivergent.

Our counselor at Healing Head and Heart is an expert in development milestones and has over 18 years of experience in elementary school setting. She has the ability to handle children’s issues around attachment, divorce, foster care, grandparent care, grief, peer issues, anger, anxiety, fear, and depression. Additionally, she works with children with chronic health issues.
